I keep in touch with many of my former classmates - particularly those that I almost went into business with!
What are you doing now?
I recently started an exciting new role with Siemens Healthineers as a part of their diagnostics business where I am responsible for North America Marketing of IT & Automation solutions. It’s an area which is ripe for innovation and rich with opportunities to drive improvements that are going to be fruitful for the whole of the business.
RSM alumni should contact me for… advice
I’ve enjoyed mentoring and being mentored over the years and have found that (in addition to my education at RSM) it has been among some of the most rewarding experiences in my life.
Where do you want to be in 10 years?
I’d like to be still enjoying my career and hopefully continuing to lead innovation in healthcare globally. Moreover, I expect to be enjoying my family – my children and hopefully spending more time in warmer locations, at least during the winter.
Who are you still in touch with at RSM?
I keep in touch with many of my former classmates – particularly those that I almost went into business with! It was a magical experience during our time together and it really felt truly transformative. I always make it a point to try and see people when I pass through a city with a former classmate.
What is your I WILL statement?
My I WILL statement when I graduated was “I WILL be a Great Dad.” I think it’s the same. I’m a big believer in starting with yourself to impact change – so I am continually trying to be a better person whether that is as a boss, a father, or a friend. I think for me, being a good father probably is what is the greatest impact I can have in this life.
What types of people would you like to meet?
I like meeting people that are different from me. Something is incredibly exciting about having a great conversation with someone whose life experience or worldview is vastly different from your own. It can be unsettling at times, but it is always, I believe, a good experience and broadens your perspective. For me, this is why I chose RSM in lieu of any school I could’ve attended in the US. Quite simply, those sorts of experiences, the ones that shape you and change you in a meaningful way, were a daily occurrence at RSM.
