We are transforming our living farm into a haven for inspiration, relaxation, and the experience of nature and self-sustainability.

What are you doing now?

My partner Jolanda and I are transforming our living farm, “De Langenbrinck,” nestled in the beautiful Achterhoek, into a haven for inspiration, relaxation, and the experience of nature and self-sustainability. We offer just five beautiful camping spots, specially designed for tent campers who love nature. Everything revolves around freedom and relaxation, far from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

In addition, I lead the Choices International Foundation, a global organization that develops criteria to distinguish healthier and less healthy foods and beverages. These criteria are independently developed by leading scientists from around the world and are used by national governments to support various nutrition policies, such as front-of-pack nutrition labeling, fiscal policies, and restricting the marketing of less healthy foods to children.

Other RSM alumni can contact me for… advice

I started my career at Unilever, where I worked for 17 years in product development and nutrition & health. In 2014, I joined The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition as Senior Manager of the Netherlands office. Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience and have helped many colleagues with their professional development and career growth. As an alumnus of the Rotterdam School of Management, I have ample experience in coaching MBA, EMBA, and other students in making their career choices.

Where do you want to be in 10 years?

In 10 years, I hope to be enjoying life and work at The Langenbrinck, inspiring many people with practical ideas to eat and live a bit more healthily and sustainably.

Who are you still in touch with at RSM?

I still keep in touch with some classmates, but my main interactions are with younger students via the alumni office.

How are you making a positive change?

On a modest scale, I hope that The Langenbrinck will inspire people toward positive change. On a larger scale, I hope that the Choices criteria will help national governments implement better nutrition policies that significantly impact public health.

What types of people do you want to meet?

With my broad knowledge and practical experience in both the corporate and NGO worlds, I would be pleased to offer valuable guidance and support to professionals who want to shape their lives and careers and achieve their personal and work-related goals.
